Boarding Cutlass with fullered single edged blade 455mm in length maker marked "Rabone Bros & Co" along with a Lion and "cast Steel". Brass knuckle guard with horn grips. Overall length 573mm. Complete with brown leather scabbard with belt hanging loop.
Note: 1824: William Rathbone V and brother Richard Rathbone form a new partnership with James Powell, called Rathbone Bros. & Co.
1841: Rathbones becomes the principal trading agent in Liverpool for East India Company.

Very good overall condition. Tip of leather scabbard is worn through. Some threads to hanging loop on scabbard are a little loose.
