A Flight Barr and Barr circular plate, attributed to William Billingsley, painted with a loose band of roses, thistles and shamrocks, within gilt line borders, 21cm diameter, impressed BFB mark, printed Flight Barr and Barr mark, c.1813

NB - probably painted shortly before Billingsley’s departure, just at the time of the change in the name of the partnership from Barr, Flight and Barr to Flight, Barr and Barr. The border composed of the symbols of the Union may indicate that the plate was a trial for a Royal service (Bonhams 13 December 2006, Lot 245, sold £480)
