A Pinxton Bute-shaped teacup and saucer, painted with pink roses, green leaves and gilt foliage, gilt line borders, the saucer 14.3cm diam, c.1800 For an identical teacup and saucer of the same pattern see: Gent, The Patterns and Shapes of the Pinxton China Factory 1796 - 1813, 1996, page 85, fig. 72; pattern 361, page 76, is identical to this unnumbered pattern but for the latter having rose hips. Provenance: The Goodacre Collection, No. 25, labelled.
