A rare George III South Staffordshire enamel baluster mustard pot, the lift-off cover modelled as a bust of a Medieval knight in armour, his helmet with feathered red plumage, raised and tooled Rococo leafy C and S-scroll gilding, provision for a spoon to verso, enclosing a contemporary glass liner, the base in relief with a military trophy picked in polychrome, to verso with Deutsche Blumen, flanked by raised gilded upright foliate fronds, puce en camaïeu lion masks to knees, pad feet, scroll handle, chased gilt-metal mount, 14.5cm high, c. 1770
