A William IV oak, mahogany, burr maple and marquetry longcase clock, 29.5cm arched painted dial inscribed with Roman numerals, the arch and spandrels with ruins, date aperture, 30-hour movement striking on a bell, the hood with swan neck pediment, turned pillars, shaped rectangular door to waist, inlaid with a fanciful bird and scrolling foliage picked out with abalone shell, flanked by bobbin quarter columns, ogee bracket feet, 214cm high
