A French Second Empire porcelain mounted gilt bronze mantel clock, by Futvoye, Paris, 11.5cm circular dial with Roman and subsidiary Arabic numerals, twin winding holes, eight-day movement count wheel-striking on a bell, the case crested by an urn draped with flowering swags and set with panels painted in the manner of Sèvres with a reclining Bacchic putto, fanciful birds and colourful summer flowers on a bleu celeste ground, knop feet, 47.5cm high, c.1860
