Photography - a collection of late 19th/early 20th century glass photographic plates, by Rudge, featuring high quality images of exotic birds and animals at a zoo, probably London Zoo, thirty-three half-plate glass negatives, all but two in the original envelopes, also seven quarter-plate glass negatives, all in Adams & Co of London orange wrappers; a single glass negative of an Iguanodon footprint found at Crowborough, Sussex in 1909, late 19th/early 20th century (qty) It is said that the discovery of the Iguanodon footprint in Crowborough in 1909 was one of the inspirations behind local resident Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's epic adventure 'The Lost World' published in 1912. The photographer, Rudge, was clearly a professional from the quality of his images of such unpredictable subjevcts.
