Toys From The Attic Part II - Automata - a late 19th century French bisque head musical automaton doll, 'The Begging Boy', attributed to Leopold Lambert or similar, the unmarked bisque head inset with fixed blue glass eyes, painted features including brown eyebrows, fine eyelashes, blush cheeks and red lips, pierced ears, blonde wig, he stands upon a barrel playing the fiddle with his begging bowl in front of him, fixed hand cracked mechanism, 32cm high; together with a later associated glass dome and circular wooden base (2)
