A 19th Century German sabre, curved fullered blade 86cm in length, maker marked " Schimmell & Sohn, Solingen". Some decoration to blade. Felt buffer pad still present. Shaped guard and wooden grip. Overall length 99cm. Complete with scabbard with twin suspension rings.

Scabbard in poor condition and is heavily rusted and has some dents plus splitting. Blade has been bent and has a couple of edge nicks.
