Nottingham History - a substantial Victorian oak armchair, scroll back pierced with a Gothic reserve, outswept arms boldly carved with acanthus, broad saddle seat, turned and panelled legs and stretcher, c.1880, brass plaque, Presented to The Albany Club by in 1927, by Alderman J E Pendleton J.P., Mayor of Nottingham 1916-1919, 1927, This chair was used by the presiding Justice when the Petty Sessions were held at the Nottingham Exchange in former times and was removed that building on its demolition in 1926
