A set of six Norwegian silver and Plique-à-jour enamel tea spoons by Marius Hammer, each with enamelled foliate terminals, spiralled shafts, textured bowls, stamped MH 900, in the original Marius Hammer Juveler Bergen fitted case, NB Marius Hammer (1847-1927) is widely regarded as one of the most important Norwegian silversmiths, A contemporary of Fabergé, he became world famous for fine enamel work. Most of the enamelled pieces reflected the Art Nouveau styles of bright colours and foliate designs and these spoons are typical of his work.
