W & R Jacob & Co Limited - a large early 20th century rectangular retailer's promotional biscuit box, printed in polychrome with a milkmaid in the dairy, she stands by a bench, holding a full pail and stool, a churn and oversize box of cream crackers beside her, inscribed 'Jacob & Co's., Original & Best Cream Crackers (Half Pounds)' on a blue ground, verso conforming, the sides printed in the Art Nouveau taste with stylised flowers on scrolling sinuous stems and inscribed 'Jacob & Co Limited, Original Makers of the Celebrated Cream-Crackers, Price of Tin 4/-', 49cm high, 47cm wide, 22cm deep, c.1900 - 1915
