A spectacular and very finely cast classical garden bench in the Georgian manner, prestigious Oak Leaf and Acorn pattern, one of the most ambitious and deeply decorated designs in the whole cast iron garden furniture tradition, the back is a tour de force of botanical casting, a dense, deeply three-dimensional composition of oak leaves with all their characteristic sinuous lobed outlines, swirling acorn-bearing branches and sinuous scrollwork, culminating in a central crown of upswept leaves, the arms terminate with large boldly cast pinecone finials, the seat is a neat three seater bobble/stud pattern, the under frame is equally richly decorated with oak leaf and scroll panels, approx. 100cm high, 55.5cm deep, 173cm wide, approx. 175kg
