An 18th century gilt-metal tapering octagonal etui, the panelled exterior chased in the Baroque taste with masks, strapwork, and leafy scrolls, the hinged cover with a still life basket of flowers, enclosing an interior fitted with drawing and travelling instruments, suspension loop cresting, the base with a spherical finial, 11.5cm long, c. 1750
