French M1831 Artillery Short Sword with double edged blade, 48.5cm in length. Maker marked for "Talabot, Paris" along with "N" proof mark. Cast brass hilt and crossguard. Crossguard is serial numbered "318". Overall length 64cm. Complete with leather scabbard with brass fittings. Throat of scabbard numbered "65".

Blade has rust marks and some nicks to edges, also slightly bent 16cm from the tip.
