Railwayana – the GWR 4900 Hall Class nameplate, Kirby Hall, rolled brass edge, 173cm long, [1]

Kirby Hall, the original borne by No. 5993, was designed by Charles Collett and was built at Swindon December 1939 and withdrawn from service May 1963. Its first shed was Tyseley and its last shed was allocation was at Reading, scrapped at the Swindon Works.

Provenance: Sheffield Railwayana Auctions Limited, 12th June 2010, Lot 400, invoice and certificated documentation en suite.
