WW2 British Parachute Regiment Australian made Battledress Blouse named to "Dix, S Coy, 6th" and is additionally named under the breast pocket flap in ink. The Blouse is a Size 4 and is maker marked "HR Hayman Pty Ltd" along with "Blouses, Khaki Cloth, Battle Dress British Pattern, Year 1946". All insignia is originally sewn with printed Parachute Regt shoulder titles and Pegasus formation signs. Corporals stripes are hand sewn in place. Medal ribbon bar is hand sewn. Included is a colour photo of Mr Dix wearing his BD in 1995 for the VE Day celebrations and a re-print photo of him with a PIAT in Italy in 1943. Also included is his Maroon waistcoat often wore at reunions etc. New to the market. (Background info: 1103198 Cpl Fred Dix served originally in the RA from 1940 and later volunteered for the Airborne Forces. Saw active service in Africa, Italy, Greece and Palestine. PIAT gunner in S Coy, 6th Battalion Parachute Regt, 2nd Independent Parachute Brigade.)

The BD is in good original condition. Couple of buttons are period replacement. Buckle and tab have been moved.
