The Book of Common Prayer, [revised 1662 edition, London], lacking title-page and few prelims, bound with Prayer with Thanksgiving to be used on 5th November, Common Prayer to be used on 30th January being the day of the Martyrdom of King Charles I, Prayer With Thanksgiving to be used on Oak Apple Day (29th May), with a copy of the decree of Charles II establishing them as part of the Book of Common Prayer, later 19th century reverse calf binding, the front board titled and dated 1662, within a border of tendrils and double-fillet, the spine with banding in relief, 19th century ink MS generational ownership inscriptions to endpapers, 4to Provenance: Henry Cadman (1813 - 1872), a farmer of 500 acres at Onchan, Isle of Man. By Harriet Carr, his wife, he had a large family including this book's later owner; Walter Cadman (1849 - 1919), later farmed at Frocester Court, Gloucestershire.
