A 19th century pale bisque head French Poupée de Mode or fashion doll, attributed to Francois Gaultier, the bisque head inset with fixed blue glass eyes and painted features including brown feathered eyebrows, fine eyelashes, red lips and large blush cheeks, blonde wig on pate, pierced ears, kid leather body with bisque lower arms, impressed mark '4.', 42cm high; together with a copper studded domed top leather-bound trunk, of small proportions, carrying handles to sides, 25cm high, 46cm wide, 27cm deep, the interior partially fitted with various doll clothing, accessories and miniatures
