A 19th century Chinese lacquer and abalone marquetry table-top cabinet, decorated and inlaid with figures, ho-ho birds, mythical beasts and a profusion of foliage throughout, the rectangular top with chased brass scroll mounts to angles, above a pair of doors enclosing a fitted arrangement of one long above two short drawers, centred by a square drawer flanked by two further short drawers, and two short drawers to base, bronze twin carrying handles to sides, scroll apron and outswept scrolling feet, 53cm high, 59cm wide, c. 1830
