A George III 18ct gold open face pocket watch, by Elliott, London, verge fusee movement numbered 8417, diamond end stone, sweeping second hand, 8cm long, the case with maker’s mark TH, possibly Thomas Heming, London, rubbed date letter, 162g gross, (lacking its pair case)

The watch presents well and sits nicely in the hand.
The internal and both outer covers snap closed and hold well.
The back outer case has thinned slightly over the years.
The dial is good and clean with no signs of cracking.
Internally the watch appears in good order.
No thinning to the suspension ring.
The top button works well to open both front and rear doors.
The outer case measures 54mm in diameter.
Overall a very pleasing watch.

Provenance - Casterne Hall. Know to have been in the same family for several generations.
