Toys From the Attic - The John Street Collection of TV and Sci-Fi related Toys (Lots 5001 - 5049), a much loved collection of toys and models from a local born Nottinghamshire collector.

A large single owner collection of over 160 single items represented in 49 lots, to include toys from TV series and films such as James Bond 007, Star Trek, Starsky & Hutch, Batman, Airwolf, The Green Hornet, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Dan Dare, Gerry Andersons Fireball XL5, Gerry Andersons UFO, Gerry Andersons Captain Scarlet, Gerry Andersons Thunderbirds and Gerry Andersons Space:1999.

Johns interest for toys started at a young age of his childhood when he would receive the occasional toy as a gift for his Birthday and at Christmas time. Later in his life his passion for toys was re-sparked when his Mother reunited him with the toys that she has held onto him for a number of years at the time when John had just purchased a family home.

Over the next forty years he gradually added to his collection and could be regularly seen as a collector at Toy Fairs such as Mansfield Civic Centre, Kirkby in Ashfield Festival Hall, Mansfield and Alfreton Leisure Centres and Castle Donington. Whilst on holiday John and the family would always end up visiting a toy shop and usually ended up purchasing another piece for his collection, these destinations included Devon, Cornwall and The Cotswolds to name a few.
