A George III South Staffordshire enamel and brass mounted bonbonniere, the hinged cover modelled as a preening goldfinch and painted in polychrome, the base painted with courting figures in a rustic landscape, 4cm high, 6.5cm wide overall, c. 1770

There is cracking to the enamel on the interior and exterior throughout.
The bottom lid bears wear to the paintwork where it has been placed.
Closes nicely but does not catch.
Some retouching to base.
