Provenance: Acquired by the vendor from the private collection of Ken Mannion, Barton-upon-Humber 13/07/21, he having obtained it in exchange for work undertaken for the owner of Helios Gallery Antiquities, who suggests that the item was acquired by Sir William Whitfield of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the early 1940's
