French 1866 Pattern Chassepot bayonet with fullered single edged blade 575mm in length. Maker marked and dated to spine of blade 1874. Brass grips with working release catch. Overall length 698mm. Complete with scabbard with matching serial numbers "FH 2855". No paint to scabbard.
