A George I/II lantern form clock, of longcase type, 27.5cm square brass dial inscribed William Monk, Barwick St John, Roman and subsidiary Arabic numerals, interspersed with fleur-de-lis, cast spandrels, the matted centre engraved with a swallow and a leafy strapwork pendant, date aperture, 30 hour posted birdcage movement with Doric pillars, anchor escapement, outside count wheel, striking on a bell, distinctive spike feet, c.1730, later associated hooded wall clock case, 110cm high excluding pendulum, 46cm wide, 25.5cm deep
