Provenance: 1st) Edward Strutt, 1st Baron Belper, PC, FRS (1801 - 1880), his canted bookplates of the Strutt crest surmounted by a baron's cornet; 2nd) presumably sold by his descendants, probably at the Christie's sale, Printed Books: The Property of the Lord Belper, December 15th, 1976; 3rd) Presented by Dr J.A. Samuel to Nottingham Public Libraries, their stamps and bookplates.
