Reckitts Black Lead - a rectangular cardboard advertising sign, printed in colours with ladies rowing and steering a boat while the men relax smoking, 48cm x 63cm, early 20th century Provenance: Lost Street Museum Sale, Christies 1997

The colours are bright and strong, however there is a rip to the right hand corner where a hole has been made in the sign to ease wall mounting, the right hand corner has also been torn off, the bottom right hand corner appears to have a puncture hole and an approx 3cm ripped section along the bottom edge, there is a crescent shaped tear just below the oar of the rowing boat which appears to have been re-glued
