A very attractive heavy well-cast classical cast iron garden bench in popular Fern and Wheat Sheaf pattern in the Georgian manner, one of the most elegant and botanically detailed bench designs of the Georgian era, the back is a deeply cast composition of arching wheat fronds radiating up from a central rosette ring flanked by fern fronds and delicate scrollwork, beneath a scalloped arch rail, the seat is a classic open lattice/diamond pattern, the arms sweep elegantly outward and the legs are cast with acanthus and fern detail, three-seater, 140cm long, 48cm wide, 131kg in weight, a delightful garden ornament in all settings
