Medal, World War One, Single, 1914 Star, S-4891 L-CPL P. MOULE A.O.C.; with original Mentioned in Despatches certificate dated 16th March 1919; with a somewhat hyperbolic obituary notice for Percy Moule of Eastleigh aged 49, described as having the 'unique honour, at the declaration of war on August 4th, 1914, of taking across to France, by special transport from Portsmouth, the first detachment of the R.A.S.C. (sic) [presumably should say R.A.O.C.] , in which unit he was a Corporal'; The obit makes interesting reading and appears to contain a number of factual errors [1]
